Help content installation options

During installation, you must choose from three options for how you access help content when you work with the product.
The following table lists the installation options for accessing help content.
Important: After you install the product, you can change your help configuration at any time. For information about the help options and how to change your help configuration, see the topic Configuring help content.
Table 1. Installation options for help system content
Help system option Details
(Default option) Access help from the web The latest help content is dynamically retrieved from the web.
Download help and access the content locally Only limited help content is included during installation. When you first start the product, the complete online help is downloaded and installed provided that you have an Internet connection. On subsequent startups, available updates to the help are downloaded and installed.
Access help from a server on your intranet You access help content that has been download and installed an a server on your intranet. You must enter the following details about the server:
  • Host
  • Port
  • Path
