Installing the product to run in 64-bit or 32-bit mode on a 64-bit operating system
If you are installing the product on a computer with a
64-bit operating system, then you can choose to install the product
as either a 64-bit or 32-bit application.
Note: This information does not apply to the OS X operating system.
products are installed in 64-bit mode on the OS X operating system.
During the product installation, you select either 64-bit or 32-bit mode for the product on the Location page in IBM® Installation Manager. (The Location page is where you select the installation directory.)
If you install the product in 64-bit mode:
- If you install the feature Tools for developing applications without a local server installation for WebSphere® Application Server, then 64-bit WebSphere Application Server components are installed.
- Some product features might not be available.
