Commands Reference
The following table lists the System Automation for Multiplatforms commands that are described in this manual:

| chequ | Changes a resource equivalency |
| chrel | Changes one or more managed relationships between resources |
| chrg | Changes persistent attribute values of a resource group (including starting and stopping a resource group) |
| chrgmbr | Changes the persistent attribute value(s) of a managed resource in a resource group |
| installSAM | Verifies that all installation prerequisites are met and installs System Automation for Multiplatforms, including the end-to-end automation adapter |
| lsequ | Lists equivalencies and their attributes |
| lsrel | Lists managed relationships |
| lsrg | Lists persistent attribute values of a resource group or its resource group members |
| lsrgreq | Lists outstanding requests applied against resource groups or managed resources |
| lssam | Lists resources groups and their members in tree format. |
| lssamctrl | Lists System Automation for Multiplatforms controls |
| mkequ | Makes an equivalency resource |
| mkrel | Makes a managed relationship between resources |
| mkrg | Makes a resource group |
| pidmon | Searches the process list for a given command string |
| prereqSAM | Checks whether all prerequisites for the installation of System Automation for Multiplatforms are met |
| rgmbrreq | Requests a managed resource to be started or stopped, or cancels the request |
| rgreq | Requests a resource group to be started, stopped or moved, or cancels the request |
| rmequ | Removes one or more resource equivalencies |
| rmrel | Removes a managed relationship between resources |
| rmrg | Removes a resource group |
| rmrgmbr | Removes one or more resources from the resource group |
| samadapter | Starts, stops or monitors the status of the SA MP Adapter |
| samcc | Controls the defined resource groups and their members in tree format. |

| samlicm | Installs, lists and upgrades the product license |
| samlog | Collects, formats, merges, and displays related logs |
| sampolicy | Activates, deactivates, and verifies a policy XML, saves a configuration, retrieves policy information |
| samsimul | Simulates a series of requests or state changes and displays the results. |
| samwhy | Retrieve information about application failures |
| setupAdapterNonRoot | Configures the end-to-end automation adapter to run with a user other than 'root' |
| samnonrootuser | Configures local (non-root) system users to manage (operate or administrate) System Automation for Multiplatform resources |
