Uninstalling the product

To uninstall the product after using the launchpad or Installation Manager, you must uninstall each product separately and in a specific order.

Before you begin

Before uninstalling the product, make sure that you have stopped all the applications that run with the product including the server, any instance of Rule Designer or Event Designer, and the local help process if enabled.

To uninstall the packages, you must log in to the system using the same user account that you used to install the product packages. Make sure that you are using the correct instance of Installation Manager to uninstall the product:

A package cannot be uninstalled when another package has a dependency on it, unless the dependent package is also selected to be uninstalled.

About this task

You must uninstall each product separately and in a specific order. You can use Installation Manager to uninstall the products except for WebSphere® eXtreme Scale.

Procedure

To uninstall the products:

  1. Close the programs that you installed using Installation Manager.
  2. Uninstall IBM® Decision Center and IBM Decision Server using Installation Manager.

  3. Uninstall WebSphere eXtreme Scale using the installation program wizard, see Uninstalling WebSphere eXtreme Scale in the WebSphere eXtreme Scale information center.
    Important:

    You must uninstall WebSphere eXtreme Scale before uninstalling WebSphere Application Server.

  4. Uninstall WebSphere Application Server using Installation Manager.

    The uninstallation can take some time to complete.
