Policy settings restrictions

Most policy settings are supported for service users. However, there are a few restrictions to be aware of before you assign service users to an explicit policy.

Desktop Settings restrictions
Desktop Settings are supported in on-premises policies for service users, but with a few restrictions.
Registration Settings restrictions
You can use Registration Settings in a policy for registering users on-premises. These settings are not used in the service, however.
Mail Settings restrictions
Mail Settings are supported in on-premises policies for service users, but with a few restrictions.
Security Settings restrictions
Security Settings are supported in on-premises policies for service users, but with the restrictions described in the following table.
Roaming Settings restrictions
Roaming Settings in a policy are not supported. The service does not support roaming.
IBM Traveler settings restrictions and default settings
IBM® Notes® Traveler Settings are supported in on-premises policies for service users. Be aware of the policy restrictions and default settings within the service.
IBM Traveler settings restrictions and default settings for Verse iOS mobile
IBM Notes Traveler Settings in on-premises policies can be applied to IBM Verse iOS mobile users. Be aware of the policy restrictions and default settings within the service.
