Configuring logins
Reset passwords, manage password expiration periods, set up federated identity management, restrict logins to an IP range, and enable application passwords.
- Resetting service login passwords
Users can reset their own service login passwords once within a 24 hour period by clicking Forgot password?. An administrator or administrator assistant can reset service login passwords for any user at any time. - Setting service login password expiration
By default, service login passwords do not expire. Enforcing a password expiration period helps ensure that passwords are changed frequently. Administrators can set a password expiration interval for all users. - Managing Notes IDs
You can reset Notes ID passwords, set Notes ID password expiration, and synchronize Notes ID passwords with service login passwords. - Setting up federated identity management
When you set up federated identity management, users log on to the service using your on-premises authentication mechanism. - Requiring client IP addresses to be within specified IP address ranges
You can require that client IP addresses be within a specified IP address range or ranges to log on to the cloud service. Clients to which this feature applies with IP addresses that are outside of a specified range cannot log in. - Enabling application passwords
Application passwords can be used to provide a secure login for applications that do not support forms-based authentication. For example, they can be used to access applications that require passwords on a mobile device or for organizations that use federated identity and service login passwords are not used. When you enable application passwords, you also have the option of requiring the use of application passwords, and of allowing mobile users to bypass IP restrictions. - Authentication methods by client
