Specifying an on-premises server to resolve external Notes links

To allow browser users to follow links to IBM® Notes® documents, views, and applications that on-premises users send, configure an on-premises IBM Domino® HTTP server to resolve the external links.

Procedure

  1. Complete the following steps to configure an on-premises IBM Domino HTTP server to resolve the links. The cloud service must be able to connect to this server.
    1. Open the Domino directory for the domain in which the server is located.
    2. Click Configuration > Servers > All Server Documents.
    3. Open the Server document for the server in Edit mode.
    4. Click the Internet Protocols tab and then the Domino Web Engine tab.
    5. In the Redirect to resolve external links field, select By Server.
    6. Save the Server document.
    Note: If some of your browser users are mail file delegates of on-premises users, configure all Domino application and mail servers to run HTTP and to resolve external links.
  2. Log on to the service as an administrator.
  3. If your account also has the User role, click Admin > Manage Organization.
  4. In the System Settings section of the navigation pane, click IBM SmartCloud Notes.
  5. Click Account Settings and then click Email & Calendar Options.
  6. For When converting Notes doclinks to web links, use passthru URL or domain, provide the URL or the host name of the server you configured to resolve the links.
