Specifying component properties

You can use the Component Properties window to specify the properties of the selected component queue.

Tab name	Available action
General	Display identification information about the queue, and edit its description.
System Fields	Modify the list of system-defined fields that are exposed in the queue. You can use exposed fields to provide more flexibility when searching for specific work items. See the section on workflow fields for more information about system fields.
Data Fields	Modify the list of user-defined data fields that are exposed in the queue. You can use exposed fields to provide more flexibility when searching for specific work items.
Indexes	Create or modify associated indexes. You can use indexes to improve performance when searching for specific work items.
Security	Configure user privileges for accessing the queue.
Adapter	Specify the properties of the component adapter, such as the associated .jar file, and the JAAS credentials settings. See the section on creating a component queue for instructions for configuring a new adapter.
Operations	Specify operations for the component queue.
