getConnection

public static Connection getConnection(java.lang.String uri)

Given a URI, creates and returns a new Connection object. The Connection object represents a logical connection to a FileNet P8 domain. This method uses default configuration parameters and is equivalent to calling getConnection(uri, new ConfigurationParameters()).

Parameters:

uri - The Universal Resource Identity (URI) for this connection. For more information, see getURI.

getConnection

public static Connection getConnection(java.lang.String uri,
                       ConfigurationParameters parameters)

Given a URI and configuration parameters, creates and returns a new Connection object with a copy of the caller's parameters. Changes to the caller's parameters are not reflected in the new connection. The Connection object represents a logical connection to a FileNet P8 domain.

Parameters:

uri - The Universal Resource Identity (URI) for this connection. For more information, see getURI.

parameters - A ConfigurationParameters instance specifying the configuration parameters for this connection.
