Uninstalling the IBM Integration Toolkit

Choose the method that you want to use to uninstall the IBM® Integration Toolkit and follow the instructions to remove the component.

Complete the following steps to uninstall the IBM Integration Toolkit:

  1. Check that your user ID has the correct authority to uninstall the IBM Integration Toolkit or to uninstall service that you have applied. The requirements are defined in Installation and uninstallation authorization.
  2. If you are uninstalling the IBM Integration Toolkit component, decide which mode of uninstallation you want to use. The choices are explained in How to install and uninstall the IBM Integration Toolkit.
  3. Follow the instructions provided in the appropriate topic:
When you uninstall the IBM Integration Toolkit component, entries are removed from the system menus:
  • Linux platformIf you have installed the IBM Integration Toolkit more than once on Linux on x86, the main menu shows a single entry, regardless of the number of installations that you have completed; the entry always accesses the last installation that you completed. When you uninstall this component, the single entry is removed, and you cannot access remaining installations using the main menu. Navigate to the correct package group installation directory and start the IBM Integration Toolkit from the command line.
  • Windows platformEntries in the Windows Start menu are grouped by package group. When you uninstall this component, the entry within the appropriate package group is correctly removed.
