Checking WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus resources before conversion

To minimize the effort required after conversion, identify areas within your WebSphere® Enterprise Service Bus resources that you must check and resolve.

Complete the following steps to accelerate automatic conversion of WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus resources into IBM® Integration Bus resources:

1. Identify for each mediation module all the library dependencies.
   You minimize conversion errors that are related with missing files.
2. Optional: If you are converting resources that are developed in WebSphere Integration Developer version 6.2, WebSphere Integration Developer version 7.0, or IBM Integration Designer version 7.5, check for circular references in WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus projects. For more information, see Fixing circular dependencies between projects.
   You cannot define circular references in IBM Integration Bus. The WebSphere ESB conversion tool reports an error if you try to convert a mediation module that contains circular references.
3. Optional: If you are converting maps that are developed in IBM Integration Designer version 7.5 or IBM Integration Designer version 8, generate your maps in XSLT 2.0. For more information, see Generating WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus maps in XSLT 2.0.
   You minimize the manual work that you must complete converting maps.
