Completing the conversion of WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus resources

Manage conversion results after you run a WebSphere® ESB conversion session to convert your WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus resources. View and complete any remaining manual conversion tasks.

Complete the following steps to manage the conversion results:

1. View the conversion summary. Under conversion summary, select All to-do tasks or All problems in the converted projects.
   • If you select All to-do tasks, the complete list of to-do tasks is displayed in the Messages and Tasks tab.
   • If you select All problems in the converted projects, the complete list of errors and warnings is displayed in the Messages and Tasks tab.
   You can click any message to view a full description and additional help.
2. Filter the information available on the converted resources.
   • To display all the information available after conversion, select Show all.
   • To display only the resources that have outstanding tasks, select Show resources with outstanding tasks.
3. For each converted resource,
   • Complete each to-do task.
     To-do tasks are manual actions that you must complete to finalize the conversion of a WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus resource into an IBM® Integration Bus resource.

     • When a manual task is completed, right-click the to-do task and select Complete.
     • To reopen a completed task, right-click the to-do task and select Reopen. A task can be reopened when extra conversion work is required.
   • Check any validation problems.
     Validation problems highlight WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus functionality that is not supported in IBM Integration Bus. Each validation problem reported is described by the following fields:

     • Message: Describes the validation problem.
     • Resource: Defines the resource where the error happens.
     • Path: Defines the project where the error happens.
     • Type: Defines the type of resource.
   • Review the conversion messages:

     Conversion messages describe how a WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus resource converts to an IBM Integration Bus resource.
