The SYSUSAGE DD statement specifies a sysout class where all Software Usage Reports produced by IBM® are written. Vendors using the usage report program to report their product's usage may use this DD statement or an alternate vendor DD statement for their reports. A data set name can be used instead of a sysout class. If you specify a data set name, the record format (RECFM) must be FBA, the logical record length (LRECL) must be 133, and the block size (BLKSIZE) must be any multiple of the logical record length. This statement is optional.

If you specify the SYSUSAGE DD statement, but the file cannot be successfully opened (example, if the DD statement is missing), you will receive message IFA303S ERROR OPENING DDNAME SYSUSAGE. Because SYSUSAGE is optional, IFAURP will continue processing even if the DD statement is missing, or if it is specified but the file cannot be successfully opened.
