Changes made in SMP/E Version 1 Release 4

This section lists the changes that were made in SMP/E Version 1 Release 4.

Changed information:

In Content of CLIENT data set, the syntax diagram for the CLIENT data set was updated to include the <FTPOPTIONS> tag. The list of attributes were updated to include the <FTPOPTIONS> information.
The lists of "Data sets used" for the GENERATE and RESTORE commands were updated to include the SMPJHOME data set.

Changed information:

The section "Deleting expired order entries" in The RECEIVE command was updated.

Deleted information:

The following statement in the list of syntax rules in Syntax notation and rules were removed: "Include at least one blank between each operand." It is recommended but not required to do so.

Changed information:

This revision reflects the deletion, addition, or modification of information to support miscellaneous maintenance items. These changes are made to support APAR IO03469 and APAR IO03647.

Deleted information:

Because JOBCAT and STEPCAT DD statements were withdrawn from z/OS® as of this release, all reference to JOBCAT or STEPCAT DD statements were removed.

New information:

A new javahome attribute was added to the CLIENT data set as documented in Content of CLIENT data set.

New information:

A new ORDER operand was added to The RECEIVE command. The RECEIVE ORDER command requests HOLDDATA or PTF orders directly from an IBM® Server and downloads the package that results when the server fulfills the order.
A new ORDERSERVER data set was described in Content of ORDERSERVER data set in the RECEIVE command chapter.
Two new examples (Example 8: Issuing an internet service retrieval request and Example 9: Downloading a pending order) were added to the RECEIVE command chapter.

Changed information:

GZONEMERGE command was updated to describe the ORDER entries created by the RECEIVE ORDER command.
The LIST command was updated to describe the ORDER entries created by the RECEIVE ORDER command.
The UCLIN command was updated to describe the ORDER entries created by the RECEIVE ORDER command.
