Adding physical data to the configuration

At this point, you have a configuration that is as accurate as possible from the data available in the loaded IODF. All necessary serial numbers are available. Proceed now with updating the physical data in HCM.

Note:

After you have made any physical changes, do not load the IODF again, because a load replaces the existing configuration file and all physical data will be lost.
If you loaded an IODF with an associated MCF data set, HCM has created your new configuration as a download copy from that MCF, so that it most probably already contains physical definitions.

After you have made physical changes, use the Copy Configuration Files… pull-down choice of the File menu to make a backup copy of your configuration file.
