Verify
that all workflow systems were successfully upgraded.
About this task
After running peupgrade, access the ping page to verify
that all isolated regions have been successfully upgraded.
Procedure
- Browse to the Process services ping page:
http://server:port/peengine/IOR/ping
where:
server is
the host name of the machine where Content Platform Engine is deployed.
port is
the HTTP port used by the application server where Content Platform Engine is deployed.
In a highly available environment, use the load
balanced virtual name for the server:port. For
example: http://virtual_server/peengine/IOR/ping
The
following table lists an example address for your application server:
Table 1. Example Process services ping page for your application serverApplication Server Type |
Web Page Address |
IBM®
WebSphere® Application Server |
http://myserver:9080/peengine/IOR/ping |
Oracle WebLogic Server |
http://myserver:7001/peengine/IOR/ping |
JBoss Application Server |
http://myserver:8080/peengine/IOR/ping |
- When prompted to log on, enter the pe_upgrade_user and
password.
Important: If
you are upgrading from version 5.2.0, then before the workflow system
database is in Ready state, the ping page will display a status indicating
that the server is initializing.
- Review the database
connection, data sources, and schema name information that is presented
for each workflow system or Case Analyzer data store.
- Verify that the isolated regions (as indicated by the ServerDBContext
lines in the Database section of the ping page) are all in Ready state.
- Verify that the Case Analyzer data stores (as indicated by the
CADataStore lines in the Database section of the ping page) are all
in Ready state.
- If you are upgrading a FileNet® P8 system
from a pre-5.2.0 release that has one or more Process Engine isolated region databases
in DB2® for z/OS®, shut down
(via WebSphere administration
console) the Content Platform Engine server
instances and restart them. This extra restart step is necessary only
for DB2 for z/OS-based upgrades,
and only if you upgraded Process Engine isolated
regions.
