Prepare data for deployment
You can prepare and export global configuration data, object store data, or workflow system data from a source environment, making it ready for future deployment (import) to a destination environment.
After preparing FileNet® P8 assets for deployment in the source environment, you create a deployment data set of exported objects. For an overview of the deployment process, see Deployment overview.
Creating an export data set requires an export manifest, which is a list of assets to be exported from an environment. After you create a deployment data set from the source environment, the next steps are to create any half maps that are required for the source and destination environments. You can use the half maps to create the data maps for the source-destination pair. The data maps are used by the convert operation to prepare the data for analysis and import.
