Prepare the destination environment
Verify the status of content, workflows, users, and AddOns to ensure that the destination environment is prepared to import data.
Before you begin importing data, perform the following steps to prepare the destination environment. These steps help to limit unexpected changes in the environment as you are importing data.
Steps |
---|
Ensure that all content that is to be deployed is checked in. |
Stop any running workflow that might contain or reference objects that are to be deployed. |
Ensure that only those users who perform essential activities
are logged on to the system. This step reduces the load on the system and minimizes the risk of introducing unexpected changes in the data you export. |
Ensure that any FileNet® AddOns, which define classes or properties that are used by your application are installed and configured in the destination object store exactly as they are in the source object store. |
