Case Analyzer store backup

Case Analyzer stores include simulation and production data. When you back up the object store or legacy workflow data, you must also back up the related Case Analyzer stores.

A Case Analyzer backup consists of the Case Analyzer store and, if OLAP integration is enabled, the associated OLAP database. Back up the Case Analyzer store and the OLAP database by using the backup procedures that are specified by your database vendor.

A full enterprise-wide backup protects you in the case where you lose the object store or legacy workflow system data. However, if you lose only the Case Analyzer store, you can restore it without restoring the object store or legacy workflow system data. If you restore the Case Analyzer store independently from the object store or legacy workflow system data, Case Analyzer can synchronize the events that have occurred since the date of the restored Case Analyzer backup. But Case Analyzer cannot synchronize if events have been deleted from the workflow event logs or content audit logs after you made the Case Analyzer backup; therefore, it is important to always back up the Case Analyzer store after you delete events from the workflow event logs or content audit logs, even if you do not back up the object store or legacy workflow system data at that time.
