Exporting artifacts from Teamworks 6

After you migrate the development environment, you must export the artifacts to be able to import them in to the target environment.

Before you begin

Before you export process assets, be sure that you send definitions to the Performance Server. If not, queries of performance data might not work as expected after the migration.
Tip: To send definitions, select File > Send Definitions to Performance Server from the main menu in Teamworks Authoring Environment.
If the length of a pool name in a business process definition (BPD) is larger than 64 characters, it causes validation errors after you export the artifact and import it to the target environment. You must refactor the model to make the pool name shorter than 64 characters before you export artifacts from Teamworks 6.

Procedure

  1. In Teamworks Authoring Environment, right-click a folder in the Library view, and then select Export from the menu.
Tip: It is best to export the entire Teamworks 6 library and then import into IBM® BPM as a single process application.
The export window lists the items that are selected for export.
  2. Click Add Items to add any items you want to add to the export file, and then click Next. The export window lists all of the items to be exported; that is, all of the items that were selected in the previous window in addition to the items that those items depend on.
  3. Click Next to specify the name for your export file.
  4. Click Finish. The selected items are exported to a compressed archive file (ZIP).
