Globalization considerations

The IBM® Business Monitor widgets have been globalized to display information in a format that is common for the location and locale that has been selected for the computer or operating system.

Languages

The text on the user interface of the IBM Business Monitor widgets has been translated into several languages and is displayed by default according to the language settings of your browser. For languages that are not supported, the text is displayed in English.

Dates and time zones

Gregorian and Hijri (Islamic) calendars are supported for date selection but there are some limitations for back end calculations.

Instances are presented in the time zone of the user according to the time zone selected for the computer or operating system. Dimensions or cube measure values are presented in the time zone of the Business Monitor server because there can only be one time zone for all users. Cube measure values, such as when analyzing measures against date dimensions, are global to all users and cannot be presented in a specific time zone for a specific user. KPIs are presented according to the time zone that is configured in the date filter for the KPI. When a KPI is created, a time zone must be specified in the date filter. For example, the time zone specified in a KPI for the current month is used for determining when the current month started.
