IBM Content Navigator, Version 2.0.3 Supports: CMIS for Content Manager, CMIS for FileNet P8, CMIS for OnDemand

Planning for OASIS Content Management Interoperability Services (CMIS)

IBM® Content Navigator can be used to connect to any IBM Enterprise Content Manager repository that supports the OASIS Content Management Interoperability Services (CMIS) standard, such as FileNet® P8, Content Manager and Content Manager OnDemand. To connect to repositories that are not IBM Enterprise Content Manager repositories, use OASIS Content Management Interoperability Services.

Each vendor implementation of the OASIS Content Management Interoperability Services standard is different. IBM Content Navigator behavior depends on the repository capabilities, such as type definition for each folder and document. In addition to dynamically adapting to the capabilities of a repository, specific releases of OASIS CMIS repositories can affect IBM Content Navigator behavior.

The following IBM Content Navigator features are supported for OASIS CMIS:

When you use OASIS CMIS, the following features are not supported by IBM Content Navigator:

Teamspaces
Saved searches
Workflows
Security (setting permissions)

The features are not supported by the OASIS CMIS API because those features are specific to IBM Content Navigator.
