Setting JRE memory on client machines

Some Java™ applets, such as the Send Email action and viewers, require 256MB of memory to function properly.

Procedure

To increase JRE memory:

  1. Open the Java console.
  2. Click the Java tab, and then click View in the Java Applet Runtime Settings section.
  3. In the Java Runtime Parameters column, add the following parameters: 
    -Xms256m -Xmx256m
  4. Save your changes and close the Java Control Panel.
