IBM® Database Enterprise Developer
Edition is
licensed per authorized user. Developers can use this license to develop
and perform quality assurance (QA) tests (including using a staging
server).

everything in the following list. It also includes entitlement to
all DB2® features.

The
IBM Database Enterprise Developer
Edition (DEDE)
product bundle comes with an overriding license. You can find the
license terms for DEDE in three places:
- The Passport Advantage® media
pack contains a hardcopy or PDF license.
- The DEDE Quick Start and Activation CD contains the
DEDE license key and the DEDE license text file.
- The main license document for each DB2 database
server product contains the DEDE license terms.
You can transfer a developer license to a new user, but
you cannot share it. For example, you can transfer the Proof of Entitlement
(PoE) due to change of employment status (for example, when someone
leaves the company or department and is replaced with someone else),
but you cannot share the license by transferring the PoE across work
shifts or use it for job sharing. However, the IBM Database Enterprise Developer
Edition license
is transferable among servers. You can use a single license to access
any data servers included in the license for development or QA purposes.
In
addition to the IBM Database Enterprise Developer
Edition bundle,
which is used for high-end development and testing, the DB2 Express-C developer
offering, which is free, is also available. For more information,
