DB2 Version 9.7 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows

Starting an event monitor

Use the contents pane of the Control Center to start an event monitor that is stopped. You make some decisions regarding monitor startup when you create an event monitor.

Procedure

  1. From the Control Center, expand the object tree until you find the Event Monitors folder.
  2. Click the Event Monitors folder. Existing event monitors with output written to tables are displayed in the pane on the right side of the window (the contents pane). Monitors that are not active have a Status of Stopped.
  3. Right-click the event monitor that you want in the contents pane and select Start Event Monitoring from the pop-up menu. The monitor's Status changes to Started.

You can select multiple monitors before selecting Start Event Monitoring from the pop-up menu. A maximum of 128 event monitors can be active simultaneously on each database partition. In a multiple partition database environment, a maximum of 32 GLOBAL event monitors can be active simultaneously on each database.
