Migration step 11: Define DB2 initialization parameters: DSNTIJUZ

Start of changeJob DSNTIJUZ generates the DB2® data-only subsystem parameter module DSNZPxxx, the application defaults load module (dsnhdecp), and the data-only load module DSNHMCID.End of change

Before you begin

If the DB2 subsystem that you are migrating has only one bootstrap data set (BSDS), add second BSDS before you migrate. For more information, see Adding a second BSDS.

About this task

Start of changeThe subsystem parameter module consists of the expansion of six macros that contain the DB2 execution-time parameters that you selected by using the ISPF panels. The names of these macros are DSN6ARVP, DSN6FAC, DSN6GRP, DSN6LOGP, DSN6SPRM, and DSN6SYSP.End of change

Procedure

To define the DB2 initialization parameters:

  1. Start of changeSave your Version 8 or DB2 9 subsystem parameter module so that it is available in case you need to fall back.End of change
  2. Run job DSNTIJUZ.

Results

The DSNTINST CLIST performs calculations by using the values that you specified for some of the parameter values that you entered on the panels. These calculations appear in the macro descriptions.
