Integrating forms into your solution

You can integrate IBM® Forms with IBM Case Manager to use forms with your solutions. Forms can provide customizable interfaces in the Case Manager Client Form widget and automation features such as custom field formats, custom field validation, and a calculation engine.

Forms in solutions
You can configure solutions to use the Form widget in place of the Properties widget to enable case workers to view and edit the property values for a case or for a step (work item).
Installing IBM Forms
You can integrate IBM Forms to add form templates and form data documents to your IBM Case Manager solution. If you plan to use this integration, you must first install IBM Forms in your IBM Case Manager environment.
Configuring IBM FileNet eForms for P8
The FileNet® P8 eForms application is included in the IBM Case Manager installation. To complete the configuration, you must run the Deploy Forms Application task in IBM Case Manager administration client.

As a business analyst, you can integrate forms with your IBM Case Manager application. Case workers can then use these forms to enter the data that is required to complete tasks.
Guidelines for designing a form to use in the Form widget
When you configure the Form widget to use a form attachment or form template, you must design the form according to specific guidelines to ensure that form content displays correctly.
Unsupported features for forms in Case Manager Client
When you design a form for use by the Form widget, be aware that Case Manager Client does not support certain features that are available in IBM Forms, in FileNet P8 eForms, or in the FileNet P8 platform.
Form policies
IBM Case Manager provides support for policy-based form data documents for reuse of existing content. You can use form policies to initiate new form-related documents or launch form-related processes.
