Deploying patterns
The pattern types include a set of artifacts, which you can use to build your Rational Integration Tester environments in the cloud. These artifacts include predefined (or sample) virtual system patterns, software components, and script packages.
Patterns contain a set of software components, which are required for the pattern to function when deployed to the cloud as a virtual system. Each software component represents a single virtual machine in a virtual system. The predefined patterns are pre-configured with the software components that support the functions of the patterns, and also include a set of executable files and artifacts in script packages, which are used to configure the software components when you deploy the patterns.

- Deploying IBM Rational License Key Server Pattern
To set up a license key server, deploy this pattern. To provide automated license management, deploy the shared service. If you already have an IBM Rational License Key Server, you can use the license files on that server and skip deploying this pattern. To run performance tests and examine the results, deploy this pattern. This pattern uses agent mode licensing or PVU mode licensing. Agent mode licensing requires the IBM Rational License Key Server Pattern.
