You have three choices for setting up a database for the IBM® UrbanCode™ Deploy blueprint
design server. You can install a database, have the blueprint design server install a database for
you, or you can reuse an engine database.
You must choose one of these options for the blueprint design server database:
- You can let the blueprint design server installation program install an Apache Derby database
for you. In this case, you do not need to install a database yourself. However, you cannot use Derby
for production blueprint design servers. Derby is for evaluation only. To use this method, run the
installation program, and when the program prompts you for the type of database, specify Derby.
- You can install your own database. Select a database from the following options:
