Accessing the server

You can access the server with a web browser specifying the URL identified during the installation process.

Start the server, see Starting the server. If you do not use the application shortcuts that are created when the server is installed, you need to know the URL that was configured during server installation.

Accessing the server on Windows

  1. Access IBM® UrbanCode™ Release by completing one of these steps:
    • Click the Launch IBM UrbanCode Release shortcut that is located in the IBM UrbanCode Platform application group.
    • Open a web browser and go to the URL that you configured during installation. The installation log shows the complete URL for the server. The default URL is http://hostname:8080, where hostname is the host name of the computer where the server is running.
  2. Log on to the server by using the default credentials. The default user name is admin and the default password is admin. You can change these credentials later by using the Manage Security tab.

Accessing the server on Linux

To run IBM UrbanCode Release, you start the server and then use a web browser to open the URL that was specified when the server was installed.

  1. Access IBM UrbanCode Release. Open a web browser and go to the URL that you configured during installation. The installation log shows the complete URL for the server. The default URL is http://hostname:8080, where hostname is the host name of the computer where the server is running.
  2. Log on to the server by using the default credentials. The default user name is admin and the default password is admin. You can change these credentials later by using the Manage Security tab.
