Abstract: Shortcut keys might stop functioning in various editors. Problem: When using the JSP or Page Designer editor, Rich Page editor, or other XML-based editors, you may observe the Delete or certain shortcut keystrokes stop working. Some examples of key binding failures that can occur (but not limited to) - When you work with the Rich Page Editor and are switching between views, the delete key stops working - Intermittent issues may occur with shortcut keys in the Struts Configuration Editor - Ctrl+S (Save) keystroke fails intermittently when editing JSPs in the Page Designer editor - Ctrl+Arrow keystroke stops working in the JavaScript editor - Delete key stops working when editing JSPs in the Page Designer editor Similar shortcut key problems occurred to a lesser extent after updating to the Interim Fix 002 for 8.5.1 which resolved related APARs: PM83722, PM74700, PM80908. The remaining problem(s) are related to an issue with Eclipse and the IBM JVM that can sometimes cause the set of active handlers to fail to find an existing activation, causing handler conflicts to occur. For more technical details, see: https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=395642 Local fix: There is no known workaround at this time except to restart the product.
