You work with IBM SPSS Statistics 20 and create output which include title objects, pivot tables and charts. For all text in these objects you use the same font and font size. When you print the output to a printer you notice that the font size for the text is not always the same: the size of some text objects look smaller on the printed output compared to the defined size of the text in Statistics Output Viewer. This was reported to IBM SPSS Development. However, there are two issues here: 1) Charts render fonts differently than Tables and 2) Text renders fonts differently than tables. But all three are different objects. The chart object is different than the pivot table object and the title is a text object. Please note that the font sizes on charts won't match title and pivot table objects. That's functioning as designed. If this would be changed fonts in charts would be messed up. Font sizes in title object and pivot tables don't match exactely either since the title object is a Text Object. However, this small difference is related to Java code and third-party dependent. There are no plans that Java will fix this and unless Java has an HTML editor that supports actual font sizes Statistics development cannot change the behavior as well. As Java use HTML 3.2 the font size is limited to 7 levels. This APAR is closed as it is functioning as designed
