Error description

  • The current feature pack code does not correctly scope the
execution of JAX-WS handlers based upon specified patterns as
described in the specifications. In particular, a wildcard is
not evaluated correctly unless it appears in the terminating
position of the value for a service-name-pattern or
port-name-pattern. This prevents those patterns from matching
when they otherwise should, and thus prevents the scoped
    handler(s) from executing properly.

    * Feature Pack for Web Services using *
    * wildcards in the scoping pattern *

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: JAX-WS handlers with some wildcard *
    * scoping patterns may not be executed. *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
It the scoping pattern for the JAX-WS handler used the asterisk
    * wildcard character in the scoping pattern and the * was not
at the end of the pattern, the handler might not be executed.

An example of a failing scoping pattern:
    <jws:service-name-pattern
    xmlns:ns1="http://handlerdeploy.jaxws">ns1:*SimpleService</jws:s
    ervice-name-pattern>
