APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When trying to use the fail-back function in the LS related to
replication and the LS going to the replication RM when the
primary RM is not working, the LS Monitor is incorrectly
resetting the Icmstresourcemgr RMFLAGS to indicate the RM or RMs
in question are no available. This happens regardless of them
working properly. The LS monitor is incorrectly doing a
heartbeat request with a call ---etoa() to convert the encoded
AuthBasic data to ASCII when it already is. This need to be
    fixed.

Local fix

  • Do not run the LS Monitor and manually reset the RMflags to a
    value of 0.
