PI75490: PE PI68382 UI42944 -CM 8.5 LS FOR Z/OS FP6 GETTING CEE3204S ICMSTART_PROCESS ICMPLSGD 0C4 ABEND. 17/01/31 PTF PECHANGE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Customer running with CM 8.5.0.6 on z/OS is getting an 0C4 error
  on a bad entry point related to module ICMPLSGD.  This module
  was not shipped in UI42940.  As such the SMPE Calllib is not
  building one module corectly.   This is causing the 0C4 abend
  and it needs to be shipped.

  The FixPack 6 PTF is missing module ICMPLSGD. Base
  module ICMPLSGD was last modified in FixPack 5. If FixPack 5 and
  6 are applied together in SMP/E, then the Load Module gets
  link-edited correctly. If FixPack 6 is applied on top of FixPack
  5, then it is not, causing the abend0C4.
  

Problem conclusion

• The PTF for FixPack 6 was marked in error. This APAR/PTF
  pre-reqs it, and is required for a complete FixPack 6 install of
  the library server.
  Please follow the installation instructions and ++HOLD of the
  original FixPack 6 PTF to install and configure.
