  • An issue with elimination of unnecessary F90 array copies.  The
    compiler is adding superfluous array copies that is causing
    performance slow-down.

Problem summary

  • PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    When users associate a contiguous array section with an
    explicit shape dummy argument that has intent(in) or
    intent(inout), the compiler generates an unnecessary temporary
    which causes a performance degradation

    Users that associate contiguous array sections with an explicit
    shape dummy argument that has intent(in) or intent(inout).
    

Problem conclusion

  • Corrected the issue that prevented the contiguity check from
    identifying the array section as a contiguous piece of memory.
