Error description

  • To improve the promotion performance, a new setting
'sync-optimized' was introduced via APAR IV07613 which bypasses
the temporary derby database. During testing of this fix, there
were some objects that were not filtered correctly based on the
environment classifications.

Problem summary


    

  • APAR IV07613 introduced a new promotion type, sync-optimized
that improved promotion performance. This new type of promotion
did not correctly perform promotion environment filtering. This
APAR addresses those issues. IV07613 has only ever been
delivered on its own as an iFix. It will never appear in Fix
Pack without this APAR. The existing behaviour of WSRR was
unaffected by APAR IV07613 so there is no function regression.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The sync-optimized promotion type introduced by APAR IV07613 was
corrected to properly filter objects during promotion.

This APAR and IV07613 are expected in WSRR v6.3.0.5, v7.0.0.5
and v7.5.0.2.
