Error description

• When installing Tivoli Directory Server 6.3.0.17 (or later), a
  license agreement may be shown on the console that requires user
  acceptance as described in technote #1612037:
  
    http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21612037
  
  The software which performs this license acceptance process
  (lapc) is a 32-bit binary, based on the belief that 32-bit
  binaries run on 64-bit Linux without additional steps. However,
  running 32-bit binaries that use the dynamic linker on a pure
  64-bit Linux install (with no 32-bit rpms installed) does
  require additional steps, which if not completed return the
  following error when the license tool is run:
  
    ./license/idsLicense: line 162: ./license/lapc: not found
  
  This is because running this 32-bit lapc binary requires the
  following additional rpms to be installed:
  
    glibc.i686: required for 32-bit binary to load any libraries
    libstdc++.i686: dynamic library required by lapc tool
  

Local fix

• Install the following rpms and any dependencies that these rpms
  require:
  
    glibc.i686
    libstdc++.i686
  

Problem summary

• The lapc tool for all 64-bit Linux platforms is now linked
  native 64-bit to remove all 32-bit dependencies.
  

Problem conclusion

• This problem was introduced by APAR IO17189 which is contained
  in the following maintenance packages:
