Abstract

As the direct successor to the IBM TotalStorage® Virtual Tape Server (VTS), the TS7700 Virtualization Engine is a member of the TS line of products. It introduces a new modular and scalable architecture, allowing for system customization to meet particular requirements. The broad range of topics covered includes a discussion of the concepts of Virtualization, examples of system configurations, descriptions of system components, and supported tape libraries, tape drives, and storage media.
