Problem(Abstract)

This document provides detailed steps to place a PTF order using Fix Central.

Resolving the problem

To use Fix Central, registration must be completed at the following Web site:

Step 1: Select Product Group System i and Product IBM i, i5/OS, and OS/400.

Fix Central main page has new side bar and simplified options.


Step 2: Identify Fixes.

Identify fixes by cumulative and group or individual fixes.

    Cumulative and group PTFs

    Choose the release
    Select the Cumulative and group PTF version.

    Check the PTFs from list to order
    Note: You can choose to select all or select 1 or more.

    The cumulative and group list allows choice on which to select.

    Choose to continue once the fixes have been selected.
      Individual Fixes

      Fill in the fixes separated by commas:

      Separate fixes with a comma but no spaces.
      or separated by white spaces:

      Separate fixes with white spaces found after pressing enter.

      Check the fixes you wish to download and then continue.

      Select 1 or more from the list of fixes.

      Note: If more than one release is noted, the user can use the Refine results option to refine the list to a specific release. However, the release can be either the OS level or a product level.

      Fixes can be refined by release of OS and product.

      Text

      The text search allows you to find specific fixes.

      Use the Text search to find PTFs for specific products, errors, releases, devices, and so on. The list that will be displayed will be a combination of the group and individual fixes lists.
