Error description

  • A customer can have a situation were the usb
keyboard and mouse will not work on the console
attached to the server.

Local fix

  • N/A

Problem summary

  • The usb devices attached to a system may not be seen in lsdev
command in available state without running cfgmgr again.

Problem conclusion

  • A tunable timetosettle has been provided where user has to set
it by running chdev command on the usb0 device and then reboot
the machine. The tunable value can range from 1 to 10.  For
example to set this tunable to ten seconds run the following
command chdev -l usb0 -a timetosettle=10 -P
