     Section "DB2 System Parameters" (p. 32):

     Add the following DB2 system parameter to table 4 "DB2
     system parameters with highly recommended settings":
     .
     Parameter:   OJPERFEH
     Value:       YES
     Explanation: This parameter is introduced to DB2 Version
                  5.1 with APAR PQ18710 / PTF UQ22692 in order
                  to enable a new function in the DB2 optimizer
                  that improves the performance of some outer
                  join operations.  R/3 exploits these outer
                  join operations and benefits greatly from the
                  improvement.

                  Please note that in DB2 Version 6.1 the new
                  function is always enabled and this system
                  parameter is no longer available.

      additional step must then be performed: Adapt the
      INSTVERS table to contain the correct TCP/IP host name
      of the OS/390 data base server as described in SAP R/3
