FINAL (5770999) *************************************************************** DRIVER INFORMATION FOR SAP JAVA BASED APPLICATIONS A Java Database Connectivity (JDBC) driver is required for SAP workloads that are based on Java. There are different options available to you and your choice will depend on several factors. See SAP note 654800 to determine which driver will meet your requirements. The notes will also indicate from where you may obtain that driver and in which IFS directory it should be placed. In IBM i 7.2, the IBM Toolbox for Java LPP is shipped as part of 5770-SS1 (option 3) - Extended Base Directory Support and the latest version will be included in the PTF lists for SS1 above. If you are upgrading from an older IBM i release, the LPP 5761-JC1 should be removed. If you are using the JTOpen toolbox driver, the latest version is the recommended version.
