USER (Send Your User ID to the Remote System)
The USER IBM® i FTP client subcommand sends a user ID to a remote system. You can also send the password together with the user ID.
FTP client subcommand
User userid [password]
- userid
- Your logon name on the remote system.
- password
- Your password on the remote system. Specifying your password is optional. If you do not supply your password when calling the USER subcommand, you receive a prompt to do so if the remote system requires a logon password.
