ABAP Extract stage

The Advanced Business Application Programming (ABAP) Extract stage enables InfoSphere® DataStage® to extract data from SAP data repositories by using generated ABAP extraction programs.

The ABAP Extract stage generates an ABAP program and uploads it to the SAP system. ABAP is a programming language used in SAP application servers. When the ABAP program is run, it executes an SQL query and sends the extracted data to the InfoSphere DataStage server.
