Configuring alternate security modes for WebSphere Application Server

You can configure WebSphere® Application Server to work with various security standards, which are typically used to meet security requirements required by the US government.

By default, IBM® WebSphere Application Server runs in non-FIPS security mode. However, you can configure it to work with various security standards. For more information, see WebSphere Application Server security standards configurations.

To configure alternate security modes for IBM WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment or IBM WebSphere Application Server Liberty Core, complete the tasks that correspond to profile of IBM WebSphere Application Server that you installed and the security mode that you want to enable.
