These environment variables are concerned with details about the running of InfoSphere® DataStage® and IBM® InfoSphere QualityStage® parallel jobs.

APT_CLOBBER_OUTPUT
APT_CLOBBER_OUTPUT controls the overwriting of existing files or data sets.
APT_CONFIG_FILE
APT_CONFIG_FILE specifies the path name of the configuration file.
APT_DISABLE_COMBINATION
APT_DISABLE_COMBINATION globally disables operator combining.
APT_DONT_COMPRESS_BOUNDED_FIELDS
Set the APT_DONT_COMPRESS_BOUNDED_FIELDS environment variable to suppress the conversion of bounded length fields to variable length fields when a copy operator writes to a dataset.
APT_EXECUTION_MODE
Set APT_EXECUTION_MODE to run an application in sequential execution mode.
APT_FILE_EXPORT_ADD_BOM
Set the APT_FILE_EXPORT_ADD_BOM environment variable to direct the export operator to insert a byte order mark of the specified type at the beginning of the output file.
APT_IMPORT_FORCE_QUOTE_DELIM
Set the APT_IMPORT_FORCE_QUOTE_DELIM environment variable so that import only recognizes a closing quote character that is followed by the field's delimiter character.
APT_ORCHHOME
The APT_ORCHHOME environment variable must be set by all InfoSphere DataStage users to point to the top-level directory of the parallel engine installation.
APT_STARTUP_SCRIPT
Set APT_STARTUP_SCRIPT to run a startup shell script on all InfoSphere DataStage processing nodes before your job is run.
APT_NO_STARTUP_SCRIPT
APT_NO_STARTUP_SCRIPT prevents InfoSphere DataStage from executing a startup script before running your job.
APT_STARTUP_STATUS
Set the APT_STARTUP_STATUS environment variable to cause messages to be generated as parallel job startup moves from phase to phase.
DSForceTerminate
Set the DSForceTerminate environment variable to force the termination of job processes if they do not terminate normally.
DSIPC_OPEN_TIMEOUT
Set the DSIPC_OPEN_TIMEOUT environment variable to specify the timeout period for the initialization for server shared containers and Basic transformers in parallel jobs.
DSJOB_DOMAIN
Set the DSJOB_DOMAIN environment variable to set a services tier domain name for the dsjob command, to avoid the need to change existing dsjob syntax when moving from releases before IBM InfoSphere Information Server, Version 8.0.
QSM_DISABLE_DISTRIBUTE_COMPONENT
Set the QSM_DISABLE_DISTRIBUTE_COMPONENT environment variable to ensure that control files for InfoSphere QualityStage jobs are not copied from the conductor node to one or more compute nodes.
DSWaitShutdown
Set the DSWaitShutdown environment variable to specify the timeout period before a process that does not terminate normally is terminated.
DS_FORCE_ABORT_AT_WARN_LIMIT
Set the DS_FORCE_ABORT_AT_WARN_LIMIT environment variable to specify the number of warning messages produced by a parallel job that forces the termination status of the job to be set to ABORTED.
DS_LOG_AUTOPURGE_IGNORE_STATUS
Set the DS_LOG_AUTOPURGE_IGNORE_STATUS environment variable to prevent Auto-purge from purging log records for jobs that fail.
