If you have existing projects from an installation of MDM Workbench version
11.0 or earlier, you can upgrade them to work with the latest version
of InfoSphere® MDM.
This migration can include importing and upgrading projects to
use the modular OSGi framework.
When you are migrating existing projects from earlier versions
of there are a number of steps that you may need to perform to upgrade
the contents of your projects the
MDM Workbench to
work with the OSGi framework:
- Import your project into the workspace, which launches a wizard
that performs a full migration of your InfoSphere MDM development
project automatically
- Generate the project code again to resolve any errors that may
remain in the imported project after the migration wizard has run.
- Perform any remaining changes manually. These changes can include,
for example, user customized code. Check for errors and warnings to
determine if these steps are required.
Description of the Migration Results view
The Migration
Results view is divided into two panes, one containing
a list of the projects existing in your workspace, and the other containing
details about the project that you select from the list.
The
Migration
Results control buttons include the following control
buttons:
- Run migration: used to manually launch
the migration wizard on a selected project
- Refresh migration results: used to manually
refresh the lists of projects in your workspace and any migration
details associated with each one
- Remove Selected Project: used to remove
the selected project from the list of projects displayed in the view
- Remove All Projects: used to remove all
projects from the list of projects displayed in the view
- Export Results: used to export the migration
results in a format that you manually enter (for example, .txt or .xls)
- Open migration log file: used to open the migration.log file
in the MDM Workbench
