Installation of Party maintenance services

Installing the Party maintenance services modifies the configuration of InfoSphere MDM.

• The business keys for entities supported by Party maintenance services are redefined.
• The behavior extensions are deployed to prevent duplicate entities based on business keys.

In addition to installing maintenance transactions, you can enable InfoSphere MDM customizations, such as:

• Configuring InfoSphere MDM to use the NYSIIS phonetic key generator.
• Deploying the Rapid Deployment search suspect candidates rule for suspected duplicate processing.

These customizations are designed to ensure that transactional services in InfoSphere MDM support the same level of functionality as provided by High Volume Load. Therefore the customization should be enabled if at lease one the following is true:

• The High Volume Load solution is used as Initial and/or Delta load solution with InfoSphere MDM.
• The maintenance transactions are used as Delta load solution in conjunction with High Volume Load Initial load solution.
• The suspected duplicate processing module of InfoSphere MDM must take into account the matching critical data fields selection which are configured using Matching Critical Data screens in the Administration UI.
