Configuring the web UI

The web user interface for WebSphere® Service Registry and Repository (WSRR) is displayed in a screen divided into four areas.

Banner and Menu bar at top, Content as the main frame, and Footer at bottom.

It is possible to display a navigation tree in a side pane if required, using the My Preferences page. See the Related link for further information. The side pane can be on the left or the right depending on the language displayed.

A number of definition files are used to define the content that is displayed in the navigation and workarea frames. A set of system definition files is installed with the product and define the default user interface. Also, it is possible for you to provide your own custom definition files that provide business views onto the data in WSRR.
Note: The default user preferences settings used to customize the user interface are located separately from the rest of the UI configuration. These settings are located in the configuration item called DEFAULT_UI_PREFERENCES under User Configurations. You need to logout and clear browser cookies for any changes to these defaults to take effect.
